Apple Brine for Thanksgiving Turkey by Godiva Goddess

Ingredients:
 2 quarts apple juice
 1 gallon cold water 
 1 cup kosher salt 
 6 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed 
 5 pounds ice cubes

Directions:
 Line a cooler with a food safe bag. Combine apple juice, and salt; stir until salt is dissolved, and add garlic. 
 Lie turkey in brine, breast side down. Turkey must be completely submerged. Add water if needed. pour the ice over the turkey, seal the bag, close the cooler and allow to sit over night.
